Horses for Sale

Pastoral pursuits x Topflight Princes foaled march 24th 2017

A stunning looking son of GROUP 1 winner Pastoral Pursuits, he is already showing he will be all speed, having a big chest and very athletic. There is plenty of speed in his Pedigree, and both his parents won at 2, his sire has a good record with 2yo progenies, so this Bay Colt will hopefully be a nice early type. He has a lovely attitude, and we are looking forward to him coming into training in October. He will go into training with Kevin Frost.

Roderic O’Connor x Waitingonacloud foaled May 5th 2017

This laid back son of Irish 2000 Guineas winner Roderic O’Connor is a very nice type. He has a lovely walk and is easy on the eye. Being foaled May 2017 and he will be more of a 6/7f pedigree he is more relaxed than his best mate Pastoral Pursuits. But there is 2yo form in his pedigree and his dad won the Group 1 Criterium International in France, and was also second in the Dewhurst to the mighty Frankel. We are really looking forward to him for next season, he is also based at Kevin Frosts yard

TARBEYAH 3yo filly by TEFILIO

We purchased this beautiful chestnut daughter of tefilio at the July tattersalls sale. Her pedigree is full of black type and her dam is full sister to Group 1 winner Haafhd. She is currently cantering every day and will be stepping up her work very soon. She is exciting everybody at Kevin Frosts yard. We have sold 70% of her already, so still a chance to get involved in 10% affordable leases.

Mayson x Purple silk foaled March 17th

A beautiful looking daughter of Group 1 winning stallion Mayson. She is small and compact and strong shouldered. Lots of speed in pedigree as the dam Purple silk is a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor. She will be aimed to be a nice early sort as she will be a proper 2yo. She is training with Ivan Furtado who has a good strike rate with 2yo progenies.

TESTIMONIALS

I've owned horses in syndicates for more than 30years. Robert is the best manager I've ever had. His knowledge of racing is amazing, he really looks after you and makes the experience special. He introduced me to Robert Eddery 7years ago and thought I should get involved with a 2 year old he'd recently bought. I got the last 25% share for £2,000 and the horse went on to win nearly £40,000 in prize money and was sold to Hong Kong for £250,000!! A dream that really came true.

Robert Greenwood racing was created by Rob when he decided that it was best for him to go it alone in business so that he could deliver the dream to people he has always strived to offer; a tailor made ownership of a racehorse to suit all people with different backgrounds but that will bring them all together in ownership as a team and as a “band of owners” enjoying meeting at the trainers yard and race days.

KEVIN FROST

KEVIN FROST

Trainer

Kevin Frost Racing is based at the excellent Butterton Racing Stables, located just outside Newcastle Under Lyme in Staffordshire. Kevin’s new yard offers fantastic facilities, room for more horses, and extensive gallops – both grass and all-weather, Their new location gives them the chance to expand their string and take a step up to the next level, as the yard has virtually every training aid you could wish for. Butterton Stables are set in tranquil countryside, with acres of turnout paddocks, and yet they are ideally located close to junction 15 of the M6 motorway – in fact the gallops can be seen from the motorway itself. If you have always wondered who trains there, well, it’s now Kevin Frost! Their new location affords them fast access to excellent road links, making the job of getting to the racecourse so much easier. We are ideally placed for travelling to the likes of Bangor, Chester, Haydock, Nottingham, Wolverhampton and even further afield, and of course being close to a major road network should make it easier for owners to come and visit the yard too!

IVAN FURTADO

IVAN FURTADO

Trainer

Ivan Furtado has good reason to celebrate right now. As well as reflecting upon his best season in three years with a license, the former Brazilian rancher boasts one of the most impressive strike rates in the All-Weather Championships table. The 38-year-old former assistant to Roger Charlton, who grew up herding cattle on his family ranch close to the Argentinean border, is “living the dream” with 34 horses in full training at his picturesque Wiseton Hall base on the Nottinghamshire-South Yorkshire border.
